Peter John Damiano, 49, 421 of Brentwood Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his residence.

He was born April 6, 1961 in Bronx, NY, a son of Dorothy Amadio Damiano of Greenwick, CT and the late "Patsy" Damiano.

He was graduate and valedictorian of B. I. P. E. D in Greenwich, CT.

Peter was self employed stockbroker.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Cloltilda Amadio; his paternal grandparents, Nicola Abiegaile Daminio, and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Agnes Bates.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jackie Bates Damiano of Covington; two step daughters, Amber Filip and her husband, John of Triangle, VA and Ashely Jones of Salem; one step granddaughter, Mia Filip of Triangle; one sister, Lisa Harkin of South Berwick, ME; three brothers, Mark Damiano of West Chester, NY; Paul Damiano of NC and Nick Damiano of Greenwich, CT.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Bowser officiating.

Following the service the family will receive friends at the funeral home.

In keeping with Peter's wishes, his body has been cremated.
