Mrs. Edith Tyree Snead, age 86, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt. 301, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, September 12, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Thomas Junior Snead.

Mrs. Snead was born June 12, 1924 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Emmett Ashley Tyree and Sallie Painter Tyree.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Snider officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
