Obituary for Francile Brown Wright Francile Brown Wright
Bedford County Native Served As Lauderdale ARP Church Secretary

Francile Brown Wright, 92, of Lexington, Va., died on Monday, September 20, 2010, in Webster Center at Kendal.

Born on January 18, 1918, in Bedford County, Va., she was a daughter of the late William D. and Elizabeth Blankenship Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Wright; and a brother, Robert D. Brown.

Mrs. Wright was a member of Manley Memorial Baptist Church and was retired after 11 years as secretary of Lauderdale ARP Church.

Surviving are a brother, William L. Brown; three daughters, Carole Berger and husband, Jim, Ann Lauterbach and husband, Bo, and Lee Higgins and husband, Jerry; two sons, Harry B. (Pete) Wright Jr. and wife, Jeanne, and Douglas Wright and wife, Debbie; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010, at Manley Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends after the burial in the church social hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to Manly Memorial Baptist Church Mission Fund, Rockbridge Area Relief Association or Kendal at Lexington Staff Fund.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.
