Obituary for Danny Wayne Marshall Danny Wayne Marshall
Was Production Operator For Pepsi Company

Danny Wayne Marshall, age 60, of 515 25th Street, Roanoke, VA, formerly of Clifton Forge, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born February 9, 1950 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Hilton Elwood and Margaret Alderman Marshall.

He was a production operator for Pepsi Co. in Hollins and was a former member of Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church.

He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Washington Redskins, and also loved cars, Mustangs in particular.

He is survived by a daughter, Amie Harpine and husband, Steve of Broadway; two sons, Lee Marshall and wife, Bambi of Boones Mill, and Michael Marshall of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Denise Ball and husband, Greg of Clifton Forge, and Teresa Hull and husband, Greg of Covington; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Kinney, Michaela Loving, James Loving, Elizabeth Loving, and Damien Milton; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Kerry Lawrence of Roanoke.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Denise and Greg Ball, 1007 Cliftwood Circle, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society, Alleghany Highlands Division, C/O Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
