Larry Wayne Newell, 57, of Lexington, Va., died Friday, October 15, 2010, at his home.

Born February 28, 1953, in Lexington, he was the son of Evelyn Irene Linkenhoker Newell and the late Wayne Lee Newell.

Also surviving Larry is his son, Jonathan Lee Newell.

He was a member of the Lauderdale ARP Church and was an electrician for G.J. Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin Dowling III officiating. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
