Ramona Simmons (Nikki) Malone, 63, of 702 Miller Street, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at her residence.

She was born August 26, 1947 in Savannah, GA.

Nikki was a former clerk at the Alleghany County Commissioner of Revenue Office.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Hall, and by a daughter, Emilee Malone in 2003.

Surviving are her husband, Gilbert "Pat" Malone of Covington; three sons, John Malone of Asheville, NC; Randy Malone and his wife, Megan, of Norfolk and Michael Malone of Mars Hill, NC; four grandchildren, Colton Malone, Kaylee Malone, Savannah Malone and Kainoah Malone; one sister Carolyn "Bubbles" Hyler of Orange Park, FL; two half brothers, Buddy Drew and his wife, Carol, of Pooler, Ga, and John Bartell of Clifton Forge.

In accordance with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
