Obituary for Jess David Frederick, Sr. Jess David Frederick, Sr.
Glasgow Baptist Church Member Was Navy Veteran

Jess David Frederick, Sr., 68, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at University of Virginia Hospital.

Born May 7, 1942, in Boone County, AR, he was a son of the late Earl Frederick and Anise Dixon Frederick.

Mr. Frederick was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, owner of Frank's Pump, and served eight years in the U.S. Navy under President Kennedy during the Cuban Crisis.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean Staton Frederick; one son, Jess David Frederick, Jr.; one daughter, Rebecca Frederick Cochran and husband, Michael; two brothers, Earl Dean Frederick and wife, Wanda; Bobby Eugene Frederick and wife, Patty; two sisters, Yvonne Miller and husband, Bill; Katherine Davis and husband, Sherrel; four grandchildren.

Funeral serviced will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Kilgore and the Rev. Marshall Cochran officiating. Burial to follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Virginia Blood Donation Service 2401 Hydraulic Road Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
