Francis Wesley Clements, 86, of Vesuvius, Virginia, died Friday, November 5, 2010.

Born September 11, 1924 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late James Corbett Clements and Hallie Pearl Ogden Clements.

Mr. Clements was a member of the Vesuvius Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from GE.

In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Campbell Clements and his son, Francis Wayne Clements; his brother, Leonard and his sisters, Minnie, Sara, Ruth, Mildred, and Pat.

Mr. Clements is survived by his brothers, James Edward Clements, A. Fred Clements, and Donald Ray Clements; and a sister, Evelyn Whiteside.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday November 9, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Simmons officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 8279, 41 Railroad Lane, Vesuvius VA, 24483.
