Larie Gene Hartless, Sr., 63, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Larie was born on January 14, 1947, the son of the late Henry Palmer Hartless and Dorothy Moore Hartless.

Larie was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lee Hartless, and a sister, Doris Ann Hartless.

Surviving are his wife of forty two years, Nancy R. Hartless; son, Larie G. Hartless, Jr. and his daughter, Ashlyn; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Dick Wilhelm, and their children, Reba Sheyenne and Kambray Santana; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Russell Joynes and their son, Shane; one aunt and uncle, Sam and Ruth Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
