Wetzel Edgar Nicely, age 63, of 1109 Richmond Street, Selma, Virginia, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at his residence.

He was born January 29, 1947 in Alleghany County, Virginia, to the late Herman and Thelma Conner Nicely.

He served in the United States Army and was employed by MeadWestvaco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alyson Sue Nicely and a brother, Clayton Lee Nicely.

He is survived by a sister, Velma Musser and husband, Tommy of Greensboro, NC; a nephew, Travis Musser of Greensboro, NC; a great niece, Astrid Blue Musser; an aunt and great aunt; and a number of cousins. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service was conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Peters officiating.
