Mary Ann Hartless Wheeler, 77, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010.

Born in Rockbridge County on January 10, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Roy Hartless and Ellen Gordon Hartless.

Mrs. Wheeler retired from Shenandoah Nursing Home.

She was a member of Ebenezer A.R.P. Church.

Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wheeler.

She is survived by a son, Charles E. Wheeler Jr., and wife, Tania; a daughter, Jane Cline and husband, Buddy; one granddaughter; brothers, Tommy Hartless of Lexington, Leon Hartless of Pocatello, Idaho; sisters, Beatrice Hostetter and husband, J.D. of Lexington, and Louise Sweet and husband, Jim of Lexington. She was also survived by many loving in-laws, family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Bolling Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor Carol Garrett officiating, burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
