Kathleen Dudley Gibson, 69 of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born January 10, 1941 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late John Dudley and Deloris Parker Dudley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Arthur Gibson, Jr.

Kathleen retired from Burlington Industries after 23 years of service.

Surviving are five sons: Larry Wayne Gibson, Kenny Ray Gibson, James Alexander Gibson, Michael Dean Gibson, and Donald Eugene Gibson; three daughters: Patricia Darlene Gibson, Sharon Kay Thorne, and Sarah Lee Murphy; one sister, Blanche D. Gibson; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
