Frederick Winslow Lynn, 73, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at his home.

Born October 27, 1937 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of Evelyn Tomlin Lynn and the late Leonard Winslow Lynn.

Mr. Lynn was a member of the Faith Baptist Church for 35 years and retired from Pinkerton Burns Security Company as a security guard at Modine after 34 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Watkins Lynn; one brother, Marshall Clyde Lynn; one sister, Carroll Lynn Coffey; several nieces and nephews; a special niece, Angela Marie Watkins; special extended family members, Andy and Angela Lynn and John Smith; special brother and sister-in-law, William and Dorothy Teaford Watkins.

Due to an anatomical donation, a memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at First Brethren Church in Buena Vista with the Rev. Christian Becker, the Rev. Terry Bostic, and the Rev. Dale Forbes officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
