Rosa Dale Blackwell, 62, of Fairfield, Virginia, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born October 9, 1948 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of George N. Bryant and Muriel Fitzgerald Bryant.

Surviving are her husband, Wallace "Tinker" Blackwell; two daughters, Jackie Harris and husband, Rodney; Lorie McCormick and husband, Gary; two sisters, Lynn Tyree and Wanda Blackwell; one brother, Ron Bryant; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Augusta Memorial Park with the Rev. James Smals and the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
