John Luke Austin, 70, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Friday January 14, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born January 23, 1940 in Rockbridge County, he a son of the late Oscar Cunningham Austin and Sallie Tomlinson Austin.

Mr. Austin was a member of the Arnolds Valley Southern Baptist Church.

Surviving are his brothers, Vaughn Austin, Boyce Austin, Calvin Austin and wife, Betty, all of Natural Bridge Station; Joe Austin and wife, Maebelle of Newport News; and Homer Austin of Maryland; his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Darby, Jathan, Scott, and Holly.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Milliner officiating. Burial will follow at the Hill Family Cemetery in Natural Bridge Station. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday January 17, 2011.
