Glennis Mae Mason Slagle, 75, of Lexington, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 27, 1935, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Orie Mason and Estelle Tyree Mason.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Slagle; two children, Mary Sloan Keys and Carolyn Ramsey Burch; one brother, Denvil Mason; and two sisters, Lillie Mull and Nadine Milliner.

Mrs. Slagle was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Edward (Mole) Slagle; Keith Slagle; Connie Clark; Sheena Edwards; Tim Slagle; Terry Slagle; Melissa Campbell and Jason Slagle; two brothers, Mack Mason and Joe Mason; 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W.A. Mills and the Rev. Dale Forbes officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.
