Obituary for Beatrice Newcomb (Bea) Stuple Beatrice Newcomb (Bea) Stuple
Botetourt Native Dies At Age 81

Beatrice Newcomb (Bea) Stuple, 81, of 309 Broken Arrow Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Monday morning, January 31, 2011, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.

She was born July 10, 1929 in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Lang Newcomb and Lila Trainer Newcomb Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Stuple in 1988 and also by one sister, Hassie Newcomb and two brothers, Cecil Newcomb and James Newcomb.

Surviving are eight daughters: Lois Callandor of Boones Mill; Dolly May of Lynchburg; Rita Wilcher of Tomball, TX; Nevada Ann Jones of Benton, IL; Alice Ditson and her husband, James, of Alcolu, SC; Hazel Wright and her husband, Clayton and Macie Marie Wolfe and her husband, Donald, all of Covington; and Ludie Carol West and her husband, Michael, of Whitehall, AZ; five sons, William Stuple and his wife, Susan, of Murfreesboro, TN; Randy Stuple and his wife, Carolyn, of Fincastle; Gary Stuple and his wife, Cathy, of Stafford; Henry Stuple of Coats, NC, and Rocky Stuple of Covington; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Doris Hayslett, of Denver, CO.; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

The interment will be made in the Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery at Fort Defiance, VA.

Friends may pay their respects at any time at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of Marie and Donald Wolfe at 826 Long Avenue, Apt C-2, Covington, Virginia.
