Obituary for Elizabeth Slough Elizabeth Slough
Rockbridge Native Was Victory Baptist Church Member

Elizabeth Slough, 93, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011.

Born November 4, 1917 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late John A. Pugh and Lillian Doss Pugh.

Elizabeth was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Buena Vista.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband, Carlyle Cash, and her second husband, Jackson Slough.

Surviving her are her children, Jeter Cash, and wife, Judy; Boots Coleman, Shirley Foster, and husband, Fennie; Oakie Cash, and wife, Jeanette; Joyce Spence, and husband, Freddie; and Leslie Cash, and fiance, Donna Carter; her stepchildren, Jackson Slough Jr. and wife, Janis; Bonnie Reed and husband, Harry; JoAnn Chittum, and husband, Tommy; Nancy Hayslett, and Cathy Collins; a brother, Dewey Pugh; and sisters-in-law, Vernelle Walker and Jeanette Pugh.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and by many other loving family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Bolling Grose and Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Staton, Rev. W. David Bain, and Rev Donald Stine officiating. Interment will follow at Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
