Obituary for Lee Roy Minter, Sr. Lee Roy Minter, Sr.
Was U.S. Forest Service Contractor

Lee Roy Minter, Sr., 67, of Goshen, Virginia, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Salem, VA.

Born October 13, 1943 in Lexington, a son of the late Charles Andrew Minter and Maudie Smith Minter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Minter was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Carter.

Mr. Minter was a contractor for the U.S. Forest Service.

Surviving are four sons, Charles Lee Minter of Goshen; Lee R. Minter, Jr. of Kerrs Creek; Jeff T. Allen of Mint Springs; Michael L. Allen of Swoope; two brothers, Joe Minter of Swoope, and Billy Minter of Goshen; two sisters, Barbara Knick and Doris Ayers, both of Goshen.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tyler Clem officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
