Lois Marie Wilkerson Coleman, 85, of Vesuvius, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011.

Born August 28, 1925 in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Wilkerson and Myrtle McCurty.

She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Buena Vista.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Coleman; daughters, Jane Wood, and Joyce Ann, a son, James A. Coleman, and one great-grandson, Christopher B. Coleman.

Mrs. Coleman is survived by three daughters, Regina S. Clark, Linda G. McCoy and husband, Dean and Betty Tyree and husband, Tony, a son-in-law, Floyd H. Wood. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Eunice W. Yandell, and Margie Wilkerson, and a brother, Billy Wilkerson.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Ben Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolling Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
