Thomas Dale (Tommy) Taylor, age 48, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with his Lord on February 28, 2011 following an extended illness.
Tommy was born in Rockbridge County on June 1, 1962 to the late Charles D. and Evelyn S. Taylor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Maxine Spangler.
He is survived by three brothers, Charles D. Taylor and wife, Betty of Mechanicsville, Kenneth R. Taylor, Sr. and friend, Cathy of Buena Vista, Ricky Taylor and wife, Kaye of Buena Vista, a sister, Janice Walker and husband, Don of Buena Vista; several extended family members.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista , VA.
