She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Malcolm and JoAnn Mays of Paeonian Springs, Glenn and Debbie Mays of Clifton Forge, and Nancy Mays of Charlottesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Vera Anderson of Covington, Graham and JoAnn Anderson of Sharon, and Earl and Marian Anderson of Clifton Forge; sisters, Della Patterson and Mary Haynes of Sharon; and sisters-in-law, Helen Anderson of New Castle and Mary Ellen Anderson of Clifton Forge; five grandsons, eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Ed Wold officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Timothy, Steven, Bruce, and Robert Mays, Ted Wilhelm, and Bennie Nicely. Andreas Mays (Mrs. Mays' grandson of Frankfurt, Germany) will be an honorary pallbearer. Alternate pallbearers will be great-grandsons of Mrs. Mays.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Debbie and Glenn Mays, 109 Meadows of Wilson Court, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Sharon Baptist Church, C/O Shirley Brown, 7006 Collierstown Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
