Obituary for Ethel Hostetter Morgan Ethel Hostetter Morgan
Homemaker Was Liberty United Church Of Christ Church Member

Ethel Hostetter Morgan, age 93, of 103 Rosehill Drive (The Woodview Nursing Home) in South Boston, Virginia, and formerly of 1094 Chisolm Trail in Nathalie, Virginia, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at The Woodview.

She was born on March 20, 1917 in Adamay, West Virginia, to the late Harry Brandon and Lilly Edith Putnam Hostetter.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of Liberty United Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Nonen Morgan; a brother, James Hostetter; and a sister, Emma Jean Myers.

She is survived by a daughter, Opal Edith Dickerson and husband, David of Nathalie; two grandchildren, Kimberly Hughes and husband, Darrell of Nathalie and Mark Dickerson of Alton; two great grandchildren, Lee Morgan Hughes and wife, Sandy of Concord, VA and Adams Hughes of Nathalie; and a niece, Pamela Clatterbaugh.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with Reverend David Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Halifax County Division, 1710 Jeffress Boulevard, South Boston, Virginia 24592.
