Obituary for Leopoldine (Poldi) Kamens Fender Leopoldine (Poldi) Kamens Fender
Native Of Germany Was Machine Operator For TRW

Mrs. Leopoldine (Poldi) Kamens Fender, age 88, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Woodlands, Clifton Forge, Virginia.

She was the wife of the late Edward Fender, who preceded her in death in 2004.

Mrs. Fender was born May 10, 1922 in Germany and was a long time resident of this community. She was employed as a machine operator by the TRW, enjoyed knitting socks and blankets for friends and family, and was an avid bingo player.

Mrs. Fender is survived by two sons, Ernie E. Fender and wife, Cecilia of Clifton Forge and Arno E. Fender and wife, Dawn of Euclid, OH; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Edward Fender, Mrs. Fender was preceded in death by one daughter, Arline Kitt on November 21, 2001 and thirteen brothers and sisters.

A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.

Pallbearers will be Arno Fender, Ernie Fender, Jason Fender, Richie Fender, Duane Fender and Adam Fender.
