Stone Church Of The Brethren Member Dies At Age 92

Catherine Wiseman Coffey, 92, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

Born April 17, 1918 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Sylvester Wiseman and Alice Scott Wiseman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilmer Coffey; and a daughter, Darlis Jean Pruitt.

Mrs. Coffey was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are her three sons, Calvin Coffey of Buena Vista, VA, Tommy Coffey of Rockbridge Baths, VA, Ray Coffey of Franklin, TN; one daughter, Dorlene Snider and a twin sister, Margaret Coffey, both of Buena Vista; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Stone Church of Brethren with the Rev. Russ Barb officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
