Lexington Baptist Church Member Dies At Age 77

Hugh Dexter Marshall, Jr., 77, of Natural Bridge, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at his home.

He was born on June 15, 1933, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Hugh Dexter Marshall Sr. and Lemma Flint Marshall.

Mr. Marshall was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy D. Marshall; one son, Ronnie Marshall and wife, Bridget; two daughters, Debbie Dameron and husband, Jerry, and Linda Sue Marshall; three sisters, Elizabeth M. Bryant, Helen M. Crist, and Virginia M. Turpin; one foster brother, Roy Creamer and wife, Jackie; four grandchildren, Scott Dameron, Nicole Eppard, Sarah Boblett and husband, Josh, and Molly Marshall; and three great-grandchildren, Madison Tomlin, Elizabeth Dameron, and Matthew Eppard.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Lexington Baptist Church with the Pastor Michael Wilburn officiating. Burial to follow at Broad Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
