Ballard & Parker Auto Service Center Co-Owner Dies At Age 66

Ernestine Hostetter Ballard, 66, of Lexington, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 1, 1944, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Herman Eugene Hostetter and Naomi Ella Noel Hostetter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wade Ballard.

Mrs. Ballard was a member of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church and co-owner of Ballard & Parker Auto Service Center.

Surviving are one son, Douglas Wade Ballard and wife, Stephanie; and Ernestine's grandchildren, Andrew and Lillian; special nephew, Tracy Parker and wife, Sheila, and their children, Jason and Nathan, all of Lexington; three brothers, Arthur Hostetter and wife, Darlene, Burnett Hostetter and wife, Stella, and Roger Hostetter and wife, Phyllis; and special friend, Angela Layne.

. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Skip Hastings officiating. Burial to follow at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
