Obituary for Linda Forren Carroll Linda Forren Carroll
West Virginia Native Was Former Director Of Nursing

Linda Forren Carroll, age 60, of 7318 Cowpasture River Highway, Millboro, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia.

She was born March 3, 1951 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, a daughter of late Charles J. and Margaret Waugh Forren.

She retired in 2000 as Director of Nursing for the former Liberty House Nursing Home in Clifton Forge and was a member of Central Advent Christian Church.

Linda enjoyed cooking and being outdoors. She was a devoted wife and mother, but especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Lee Carroll of Millboro; two daughters, Melissa Morgan Christian and husband, Miles of Clifton Forge, and Susan Holbert and husband, Bill of Clifton Forge; two sons, Robbie Morgan and wife, Danielle of Clifton Forge, and Travis Carroll of Fairfax; a sister, Margy Blankenship and husband, Paul of Buckeye, WV; five grandchildren, Rachel Morgan, Rebekah Morgan, Miles Christian II, Wanya Christian, and Billy Holbert; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Gene Peters, Reverend Pam Irvine, and Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment will follow in Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery, Nimrod Hall.

Pallbearers will be Bill Holbert, Bobby Irvine, Brian Simpson, Conner Simpson, John Nicely, and Bobby Nicely. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Black, David Carroll, Kenny Carroll, Jamie Carroll, and Davy Carroll.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Robbie and Danielle Morgan, 219 Higgins Hollow Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Linda's name to the Alleghany Diabetic Education Program, Alleghany Regional Hospital, ATTN: Brenda Graham, P.O.
