Obituary for Carl Franklin Bayne Carl Franklin Bayne
World War II Navy Veteran Was Ebenezer ARP Church Member

Carl Franklin Bayne, 85, of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, April 8, 2011 in Envoy of Staunton.

Born June 28, 1925 in Virginia, he was a son of the late Harry Lee Bayne and Beatrice Shaw Bayne.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, Derek Smith.

Mr. Bayne was a World War II veteran of the US Navy and was a member of Fairfield Moose Lodge.

He was a member of Ebenezer ARP Church.

Surviving are his wife, Stella Fix Bayne; three children, Delores B. Fry and husband, Bruce of Winchester, Larry Bayne and wife, Ann of Spotsylvania and Barry Bayne and wife, Rhonda of Bunker Hill, WV; faithful niece and caregiver, Dorcas Richards of Evington; his first wife and mother of his children, Betty Dubuque; two sisters, Opal B. Peyton of Charlottesville and Shirley B. Saum of Troy; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockbridge Dog Rescue, 996 Wesley Chapel Rd., Lexngton, VA 24450.
