World War II Veteran Was Pearl Harbor Survivor

Robert Lewis Hambrick, 88, lifetime resident of Botetourt County, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

A World War II veteran and survivor of Pearl Harbor, he was one of five brothers who served during World War II.

He is survived by his children, Judy Hambrick Cahoon and husband, Frank; Lynn Hambrick Dluzniewski and husband, Randy "Ski"; Robert "Bobby" Edward Hambrick and wife, Linda; and Jean Elizabeth Hambrick, all of Fincastle; grandchildren, Lynda Gayle Cahoon and husband, Paul Sparks, Frank L. Cahoon Jr. and wife, Renee, Erika Dluzniewski, Katelyn Dluzniewski, Nathan Dluzniewski and Catherine, and Carmen Hambrick; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Cahoon, Zacary Cahoon, and Ethan Dluzniewski; special friend and mother of his children, Edrodean Roberson; sister, Mildred Johnson, of Eagle Rock; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Fincastle with the Rev. Billy Ronk officiating.
