Louise Donald Sorrells, 86, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Havenwood Manor in Lexington.

She was born November 11, 1924 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Lacy Edward Donald and Nellie Slough Donald.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Sorrells, and was the last member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Dorothy Armstrong, loving caregivers Hubert and Nadine Armstrong, Gloria O'Donnell, and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Brian Weger officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450 or Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, 410 Falling Spring Road, Glasgow, VA 24555.
