Homemaker Was Devoted Member Of Immanuel Baptist Church

Laura Elizabeth Larman Hayslett, age 91, of The Woodlands Nursing Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born June 9, 1919 in Augusta County, Virginia to the late William Franklin Larman and Ona Upton Gregory Larman.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a devoted and faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kermit Hayslett in 1977; a son, Gerald Wayne Hayslett; three sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gayle Hayslett Daniel and husband, Barry of Clifton Forge, and Julia Leona Hayslett Steese-Fred of Oconto Falls, Wisconsin; five sons, Ronald Elliott Hayslett and wife, Lynda, Gary Scott "Scotty" Hayslett and wife, Shirley, Wade Franklin Hayslett and wife, Joyce, Farron Eugene "Buster" Hayslett, and Mitchell Cory Hayslett and wife, Vicki, all of Clifton Forge; nineteen grandchildren, Jolynn Dare Browning, Vicky Vaughn Daniels, Stuart Elliott Hayslett, Shelley Paige Hodgen, Michael Scott Hayslett, Myra Lee Day, Byron Kermit Vance Daniel, Blayne Kerry Murrell, Neal Franklin Hayslett, Wade Bradford Hayslett, Amanda Gail Hayslett, Brandy Adir Kangas, Elizabeth Leigh Shaffer, Elizabeth Barnett, William Mack Hayslett, Shanda Lenae Hayslett, Courtney Shanae Hayslett, Kayla Manae Hayslett, and Jordan Janae Hayslett; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Bill Dillon, Reverend Lloyd Camp, and grandson Barry Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Barry Daniel, Michael Hayslett, Stuart Hayslett, Neil Hayslett, Brad Hayslett, Corbin Hayslett, and Caleb Day.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia.
