Bessie Campbell Wright, 78, of 127 Moss Run Road, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her residence.

She was born February 24, 1933 in Covington, a daughter of the late Ruth Wilson Campbell.

Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and was a member of Grace Brethren Church.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James M. Wright of Covington; one daughter, Cathy Kruse and her husband, Steve of Waverly; two sons, Rev. Lynn Wright and his wife, Michelle of Hot Springs and Kevin Wright and his wife, Tammy of Clifton Forge; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters Velda Farmer of Waynesboro and Patricia Armentrout of Staunton; two brothers, Berlin Campbell and his wife, Linda of Molena, GA and Garland Campbell and his wife, Carole of Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Gillette officiating.

The interment will be made in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects any time at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
