Obituary for Patricia Glendine Hoke Ballard Patricia Glendine Hoke Ballard

Patricia Glendine Hoke Ballard, 48, of 217 Rocky Hollow Road, White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her residence.

She was born March 5, 1963 in Monroe County, WV, a daughter of the late James Preston Hoke and Glenna Jane Spence Hoke.

Patricia was formerly employed at the Greenbrier Resort as a Steward.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Elia Mullens, Sr. in 1992; a son, Blaine Preston "Jasper" Mullens in 2004; a daughter, Susan Marie Mullens, and also a sister, Leona Dare Hoke Kaptis in 2007.

Surviving are her husband, Lewis "Bogie" Ballard of White Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Margaret Ann Mullens of White Sulphur Springs; two stepdaughters, Pamela Scott and Betsy Ann Seis, both of PA; one grandson, Braden Ray Phillips of White Sulphur Springs; two step grandchildren, Tonya Scott and Brian Scott Michael and one sister, Betty Sparks Hoke of Atlanta.

In keeping with Mrs. Ballard's wishes, her body has been cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
