Mr. Clarence Wendall Farmer, age 88, of 1112 Dunbrack Road, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Woodlands Nursing Home, Clifton Forge of complications from Mesothelioma.
He was the husband of Sue Jennings Farmer.
Mr. Farmer was born May 8, 1923 in Belsprings, the son and eighth of twelve children born to the late Robert O. Farmer and Mary Sue Miller Farmer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
Graveside rites will be conducted by the Curtis A. Smith Post 1033 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
