Deborah Austin Newell, 42, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born February 3, 1969, she was a daughter of Garland Austin and Norma Smith Austin.

Deborah was preceded in death by a niece, Adriana Faith Gonzalez.

Mrs. Newell was previously employed by Alcoa and Burlington Industries as a machine operator.

Surviving are one son, Cameron Austin Newell of Glasgow; two sisters, Cathy Austin Chesnut and husband, Darren of Stuarts Draft; Amy Nicole Austin Staton and husband, Jamie of Lexington; two nieces, Madison Chesnut and Ashtyn Chesnut.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
