Betty Lou Landis Rice, age 72, of 2300 Evergreen Ave., Covinjgton, Virginia, died Thursday June 2, 2011 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Ray Rice.

She was born May 1, 1939 in Covington, the daughter of the late Emmett Hanley Landis and Beulah Byer Landis.

Entombment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 2300 Evergreen Avenue at any time.
