James Martin Talbott, 69 of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, died Friday June 24, 2011.

Born October 22, 1941 in Elkins, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Forrest W. Talbott and Roxie Reid Talbott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Forrest W. Talbott, Jr.

He was a member of the Bethseda Presbyterian Church.

He attended Rockbridge County Schools and Augusta Military Academy, Ft. Defiance, Va.

Mr. Talbott's employment included James Lees, Modine, and Schewels Furniture Company.

He was very much an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving are: a son James "Jamie" Martin Talbott, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Natural Bridge; grandchildren, Jordan and McKenzie; a sister, Betty Anderson and husband, Tom of Rockbridge Baths, a niece, Gail Heslep of Fairfield; nephews, Marty and Tate Anderson of Rockbridge Baths.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Bethseda Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Christinia Tutterow officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Rockbridge Baths Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
