Was Unit Secretary At Alleghany Regional Hospital

Carol East Taylor Reynolds Webb, age 64, of 922 Alleghany Ave., Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, on April 15, 1947, a daughter of the late William Lewis "Bill" Taylor and Margaret East Taylor Givens.

She was retired from the Medical Records Department of The Woodlands in Clifton Forge.

Carol worked as a unit secretary for a number of years at Alleghany Regional Hospital.

She was a member of the Low Moor Presbyterian Church, she loved gardening, the Cowpasture River, and spending time with her dog, Carmen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Ollie Truman Reynolds in 1997 and by a great grandchild, Hope Elizabeth Snead.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Webb of Clifton Forge; 2 daughters, Leslie Neff and husband, Ricky of Clifton Forge, and Lisa Downey of Fincastle; a brother, Corky Taylor and wife, Brenda of Clifton Forge; 5 grandchildren, Leigh Ann Snead and husband, C.W., Kimberly Ann Ryder and husband, Roger, Benjamin Thomas Downey, Emily Carol Downey, and Adam Mathew Downey; 3 great grandchildren, Hunter Truman Brady, Faith Snead, and Logan Snead; 3 step sons, Rusty Webb, Walter Webb, and Wayne Webb; 2 nieces, Liberty Meadows and Sherry Taylor; Special Friend, Billy Brady; and her beloved pets, Carmen and Ivy.

A funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Rev. Doug Moore and Rev. Lisa Marshall officiating. Interment was made in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Active pallbearers were Bucky Webb, Jerry Webb, James Dobbs, C.W. Snead, Billy Brady, Wayne Webb, Rusty Webb, and Walter Webb. The family received friends Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and at other times at the residence, 922 Alleghany Ave., Clifton Forge.
