Obituary for Adolphous Donald (Don) Bush Adolphous Donald (Don) Bush
Retired From Sears Roebuck After 36 Years Of Service

Adolphous Donald (Don) Bush, age 75, of 820 Lee Highway, Verona, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday June 24, 2011 at 11:10 p.m.

He was born January 20, 1936 in Low Moor, Virginia, a son of the late Wilbur A. and Lillie F. Dawe Bush.

He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Staunton and was an avid hunter.

He retired from the Sears Roebuck and Company after 36 years of service.

Don was a gifted carpenter, building homes for his family, as well as beautiful furniture and cabinets.

He enjoyed helping others and did not know the meaning of the word "no". While he will be greatly missed by his family and friends, we are thankful he has gone home to be with the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Basil Bush, Charles Bush, "Ted" Bush, and Thomas Bush; and a half sister, Eula Kitt.

Don was married on July 10, 1959 to Shirley Ann Crum Bush, who survives. He is also survived by his son, Brian Scott Bush and wife, Carrie T. Bush of Annandale; two grandchildren, Marisa Bush and Trevor Bush, both of Annandale; a brother; Delmas Bush of Selma; two sisters, Helen Warren and husband, Dick, and Barbara Walton, both of Selma; a brother-in-law, William Crum and wife, Gladys of Staunton; sisters-in-law, Virginia Musgrove of Madison Heights, Ruby Crum of Staunton, Katie Maloney of Selma, Hattie Bush of Low Moor, and Ruth Bush of Clifton Forge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Roy Trump officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Active pallbearers were Matt Warren, Paul Neal, James Meadows, Randall Wheeler, Wayne Wheeler, and Rex Allman. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Burley, T. C. Daniel, and the congregation of Grace Bible Church. The family received friends on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in his memory to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, 111 North Campus Lane, Fishersville, VA 22939.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia, handled the arrangements.
