Lucille McCormick Felts, of Buena Vista, Va., died on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

She was born on October 4,1917, in Rockbridge County, Va.

She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick McCormick Felt; her parents, Joseph Oliver McCormick and Lelia Long McCormick; and her sister, Marjorie McCormick Murray.

She is survived by three children, Allen Lynwood (Mac) Felts Jr. (Becky), of Lexington, Va., Linda Felts Scott (Andrew), of Duck, N.C., and Lelia Jane Bailey (Scott), of Richmond, Va.; one nephew, Anthony M. Murray, of Rockbridge County, Va.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A church service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. John's Methodist Church in Buena Vista, Va., followed by a Graveside Service conducted at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Va. Pastor John Choi will officiate. The family will receive visitors following the graveside service at St. John's Methodist Church.

The family specifically requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. John's Methodist Church, 351 E. 21st St., Buena Vista, VA 24416.
