Charlotte Wagner Schreiber, 66, of Rockbridge County, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home of complications from pancreatic cancer surgery.

Born May 22, 1945 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Robert B. Wagner, Sr. and Virginia C. Wagner.

Mrs. Schreiber worked for many years in the VMI Chemistry Department, first as secretary, then as a research laboratory manager.

She was an avid horsewoman her entire life, riding, in particular, Lancer and Monte for many years.

She loved her pet dogs, Lottie, Buttons, Barney and Princess among others.

Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Henry D. Schreiber; daughters, Lea S. McQuinn and husband, Scotty and Terri S. Reagan; grandchildren, Amber Reagan, Meghan, Joshua and Bethany McQuinn; brothers, Robert B. Wagner, Jr. and wife, Francis and James E. Wagner and wife, Dolly.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Martin Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
