Mrs. Lucille Margaret Helmintoller Thompson, age 93, of Brandon Oaks Apartments, Roanoke, Virginia, formerly of Clearwater Park, Covington, died Friday July 8, 2011.

She was the widow of the late Howard Matthew Thompson, who preceded her in death in 1953.

Mrs. Thompson was born December 10, 1917 in Summers County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Elias Dameron Helmintoller and Nellie Thompson Helmintoller.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. from the graveside in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Sam Black Church, WV, with the Rev. Jamie Pharr officiating.

There was no formal visitation, but friends may call at Loving Funeral during regular business hours.

The Loving Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, handled the arrangements.
