April Dawn Sorrells, 35 of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, July 15, 2011.

Born January 7, 1976 in Lexington, she was a daughter of Justine Chittum Moore and her husband, Alvin.

She was preceded in death by a niece, Maelyn Grace Wilhelm.

Surviving are her father, Johnnie Thomas Sorrells; step-father, James Edward Clark, both of Buena Vista; grandparents, Elna Fultz and Raymond and Ruth Sorrells; a sister, Lorin Clark Wilhelm of Lexington; a brother, Jouthan Sorrells of Buena Vista; an aunt, Julie Chittum Henson; a cousin, Travis Rafuel Chittum; nephew, Billy Chittum; niece, Lydia Anne Wilhelm.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryan Volpe officiating.

Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. The family will receive friends from 2 Ð 3 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
