Betty Cales Burch, 67, of Lexington, Virginia, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at her home.

Born June 21, 1944 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Willie H. Cales and Louise Cash Cales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Burch.

Surviving are her children, Kimberley B. Lilley of Natural Bridge Station, VA, Carl Shannon Burch and Michael David Burch; three brothers, Roy L. Cales, Kenneth E. Cales, and George W. Cales, all of Fairfield, VA; two sisters, Margie Stahl of Kent, OH, and Nancy Scott of Grottoes, VA; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton and Mary Clemmer officiating. Burial will follow in McElwee Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
