Thomas Eugene Hinebaugh, Sr., age 76, of 1613 Jefferson Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his residence.

He was born April 20, 1935 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Eugene Hinebaugh and Hattie Deeds Hinebaugh Weade.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for various contractors in the area.

He enjoyed gardening and deer hunting, but loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Hinebaugh; two sons, Dwayne Allen Hinebaugh and Keith Meador; and a step son, Timmy Meador.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Stuck Hinebaugh of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Kathy O'Conner of Valley Ridge, Covington; two sons, Tommy Hinebaugh and wife, Tammy of Clifton Forge, and Michael Hinebaugh and wife, Angie of Clifton Forge; seven grandchildren, Meghan Kirby and husband, Andy, Dwayne Hinebaugh, Heather Hinebaugh, Kimberly Hinebaugh, Katelyn Hinebaugh, Marah Hinebaugh, and Kathren "K.C." O'Conner; two great grandchildren, Kenton Kirby and Aiden Hinebaugh; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend Doug Moore officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, or other times at the residence of Michael and Angie Hinebaugh, 901 Jefferson Ave, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P.O. Box 60, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
