Janell Greer Johnson, 82, of Raphine, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011.

Born July 20, 1929 in Filbert, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elihu Greer and Mary Belle Swartz Greer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years, James Clyde Johnson, and a grandson, Jonathan Bartley.

Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, mammaw and a Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda J. Pavlick and husband, Dennis of Fairfield; Betty W. Hunt and husband, Floyd of Williamsburg; one brother, Monroe Greer and special sister-in-law, Mary Ellen of Staunton; two sisters, Helen Whittemore of Wytheville and Lois Frey of Savage, MD; and three grandchildren and three great grandsons.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luther Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 Ð 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011.
