Obituary for Joe Jackson Angle Joe Jackson Angle
U.S. Air Force Veteran Was Alleghany County Native

Mr. Joe Jackson Angle, age 76, of Low Moor, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at LewisGale Hospital Ð Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was the husband of the late Joyce W. Angle. Mr. Angle was born November 28, 1934 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Winifred J. Angle and Mary G. Angle.

He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Angle enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Joe loved all children and always had a dollar in his pocket to give away to the kids he knew.

He was a member of the Midway Community Christian Church.

Mr. Angle is survived by one grandson, Donald Angle and wife, Betty; one granddaughter, Missy Guy; five great grandchildren, Justin Angle, Autumn Myers, Joseph Angle, Allan Angle and Abigail Guy; three brothers, John Angle, Melvin Angle and wife, Ann, Lee Roy Angle and wife, Carol Ann; five sisters, Stella Cale, Katherine Higgins and husband, Eddie, Alice Mirando and husband, Mark; Patsy Cale and husband, Donnie, Debbie Dolan and husband, Michael; and two sisters-in-law, Juanita Angle and Clo Angle.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Midway Christian Church with Pastor Michael Fisher officiating.

The Loving Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
