Obituary for Emily Hall Coleman Emily Hall Coleman
Worked With James Lees Carpets For Over 42 Years

Emily Hall Coleman, age 82 of Buena Vista, Virginia, departed her earthly home on Saturday, September 3rd, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Winfred Coleman.

Emily was born November 14, 1928 in Bath County, Va. to the late Guy Frances & Stella Stephenson Hall.

She graduated from Millboro High School in 1946 and retired from James Lees Carpet in Glasgow Virginia, where she worked for over 42 years.

She was a faithful member of the St. John's United Methodist Church in Buena Vista. She was a member of the Buena Vista Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred in January 2007; a sister, Norine Hall in February 2005; a brother, James Hall in September 2006; her niece, Pam Hall Staats December 2008; and brother-in-law, Edward Clark in February 2001.

She is survived by a special aunt, Maple S. Heizer of Waynesboro; her sisters, Wanda Hall Clark of Millboro, and Ann Hall Higgins of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Doris "Sissy" Hall of Buena Vista; also a niece, Jo Hall Tomlin and her husband, Randy of Glasgow; Sherry Clark of Mesquite, TX; Charlie Clark and wife, Lisa of Hayes, VA; Terri Clark of Charlotte, NC; Judy Clark West and husband, James of Hayes, VA; Pat Ball and her husband, David; Debbie Quick, Rodney Higgins of Waynesboro and David Higgins and his wife, Alice of Grottoes. She also has eight great nieces and 7 great, great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor John Choi at St. John's United Methodist Church in Buena Vista on Tuesday September 6th, 2011 at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Virginia. The Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorial tributes may be made to either St John's United Methodist Church or the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
