Virginia Lucille (Lucy) Harris Miller, 81, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born August 30, 1930 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Elmer Harris and Bessie Agnor Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. "Sonny" Miller, Jr.; two brothers, George and Charles Harris.

Lucy was a member of the Kerrs Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Kay Miller of Lexington; two brothers, James Harris of Lexington, and Frank Harris of Lynchburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and a special canine friend.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling, III officiating. Burial will follow in Broadcreek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101.
